President Donald Trump wants to recover billions of dollars worth of equipment U.S. troops left in Afghanistan following their 2021 withdrawal from the country.

President Donald Trump said Wednesday that he plans to start selling a "gold card" visa with a potential pathway to U.S. citizenship for $5 million, seeking to have that new initiative replace a 35-year-old visa program for investors.

Immigration officials say anyone living in the U.S. illegally will soon have to register with the federal government, and those who don't could face fines, imprisonment or both.
