Jordan's point is that he will keep fighting and finish the course by winning the speakership.
Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) should withdraw as the Republican nominee for speaker of the House. With every ballot on the House floor, he loses more votes, so it is evident he cannot secure a majority. He does the House and the country a disservice by continuing to press his hopeless case. He is simply not popular enough and is too divisive to lead.
Pakistan has begun a phased approach to ridding its country of around 3.7 million Afghan refugees. In the first phase, 1.7 million illegal refugees must depart Pakistan by Nov. 1 or face forced deportation. The country’s Caretaker Interior Minister Sarfraz Bugti told the Telegraph that the second phase will target “those with Afghan citizenship,” while the third phase will expel Afghans with “proof of residence cards.”
