Democrats getting kicked off committees a George Santos cautionary tale

The controversy over the removal of Democrats from their committee assignments ought to be a cautionary tale for President Joe Biden’s party on how to handle Rep. George Santos (R-NY).

Transgender ideology is putting male rapists into women’s prisons, with predictable results

In the name of gender affirmation, prisons are putting men in women’s facilities and enabling rapists in the process. A slew of recent cases has either seen male rapists placed in women’s prisons or men convicted of other crimes placed into women’s prisons, who went on to rape thereafter, claiming they identified as women.

100 tanks will go a long way for Ukraine, figuratively and literally

Correcting weeks of hesitating delay and deceptive excuses, President Joe Biden announced Wednesday that the United States would provide 31 M1A2 Abrams tanks to Ukraine. He noted that this would allow Ukraine to form a new armored battalion. Alongside the 12 Challenger-2 tanks that the United Kingdom has already pledged to provide Ukraine, Biden said Europe would supply Ukraine with an additional two battalions worth of Leopard-2 tanks. In total, Ukraine is set to receive just over 100 of the most modern Western battle tanks. The first Leopard-2 tanks should have trained crews within eight weeks. Unfortunately, Germany says it will take at least three months for the first tanks to be delivered.

Some GOP lawmakers have also expressed concern about the lack of safeguards in sending so much money to a notoriously corrupt country.

How Western tanks could bolster Ukraine’s fight against Russia

Both Germany and the U.S. announced on Wednesday they will provide battle tanks to Ukraine after weeks of tension over donating the heavy combat vehicles. The 31 American-made M1 Abrams tanks are unlikely to arrive in Ukraine until at least the fall, whereas the German-made Leopard 2 tanks could be in Kyiv’s hands within a...

The U.S. Forest Service has finalized a rule restoring protections rolled back under the Trump administration for the Tongass National Forest in Alaska, the largest such forest in the U.S. “As our nation’s largest national forest and the largest intact temperate rainforest in the world, the Tongass National Forest is key to conserving biodiversity and...
