You can call it a backup campaign or wishful thinking, but Gov. Gavin Newsom’s (D-CA) actions make it clear that he wants to run for president sooner rather than later.
Parents still have the right to be parents in California, despite both the radical Left and the transgender lobby’s egregious efforts to legislate otherwise. A piece of legislation that made the rights of parents secondary to adherence to gender ideology was too extreme even for Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA). He vetoed a bill that would have mandated judges to prioritize gender identity and parents’ affirmation of it in custody cases. Vetoes such as this probably wouldn't occur — meaning laws like this might actually go into effect — if groups such as Moms for Liberty and other parents did not challenge left-wing brainwashing in schools.
