Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin used to identify as a conservative journalist. Then, after Donald Trump campaigned for president in 2016 and won, Rubin transitioned and stated she was no longer a conservative. As of 2021, she shifted her allegiance to the Biden administration and has been a steady advocate of the Democratic president. And given the ideals that President Joe Biden and his administration represent, it can be legitimately argued that Rubin was never really a conservative to begin with.
